Welcome to Cutting Board Art, a line of functional, affordable and aesthetically pleasing cutting boards for today’s home. What started as gifts for friends has developed into an exciting venture of Timekeepers Handcrafted Clocks, Furniture & Cabinetry – a “one-man” woodworking shop, established in 1990 and owned by artisan, Ralph J. Teets of Girard, Ohio.
These original designs are a collaboration of Ralph and his wife, Joanne. The boards start with various kiln-dried hardwoods that are hand selected, looking for uniform color and interesting grain patterns. The boards are built with FDA - approved glue and finish, using butcher block conditioner which gives a water-resistant, antibacterial finish to prevent drying and cracking. All boards receive two coats of finish and have rubber feet to add stability while you are working or entertaining.
